In the Burslem Darts League, each division holds a Doubles Merits competition every season, open to all players in that division.
One night is set aside in the league calendar for the initial rounds, with entrants split across four venues per division. At each venue, players compete in a knockout tournament, with the top two pairings from each venue advancing to Finals Night.
Finals Night also follows a knockout format, culminating in one doubles winner being crowned champion for each division.
